Journey Report (10 June 2010)

because i want everyone to be able to read my blog (shortened as internationalism), from now on i'll write full english, okay? (good for my writing skill heheh)

i usually write a "report". every time i went on an outing, i always write a report, anywhere possible. and now, it's about one of my interest, Dance Dance Revolution

yesterday, noon time, i went to "Margo City" (shortened to "margo"). what for? playin' of course with one of my best pal. however she has to go to her university... so... well she didn't play for a long time. we spent playin' double several times and once playin' versus.

awright... there she goes... and now imma playin this alone.

about 15 minutes later...

of course i was very tired, and i'm depleted of my water supply. people were already waiting me to finish (lol) so i went on and bought 2 × 600 ml mineral water. hmm... felt a lil hungry and couldn't resist to buy a crepe (:P)

about 10 m from the crepe stand... something attracted me there (because some people gathered there anyway) and...

OHH a speedstack and these people are playing with rubik! (3 by 3)

and a girl was playing with it, timing her speed with that speedstack. it was approaching 1 minute, and suddenly it went pitch black.

not for me of course, but for that girl.

why? did she went blind because of excessive usage of rubik?

wth? no way it could happen!

actually it appeared that her friend that showed up from nowhere closed her eyes and it seemed that her panic meter is about to burst.

and its over... passed one minute. too bad.

i tried my best to finish the crepe as quickly as possible so i could converse with them. after a few awkward moments (in which my crepe is not finished yet), i started it.

'what about this?' (translated for internationalism)

and i showed it. what? of course my new super square one!

'euhh... what kind is that??'

'it's super square one... it could change shape, like this.'

and some twisting begun. and i managed to solve it (no parity!)

some minutes after that i finished my crepe and...

'wanna try?'

that same girl asked me (or rather persuaded me) to time my solving speed. however i screwed up and... went over one minute ( :'( too bad)

i spotted some rubik there and observed some of them.

quite a variety they got here...

owkay now time to burn the money left in my pocket... put it into the powercard and continued playing DDR again...

a few credits passed then as usual, i'm tired after passing MAXX Unlimited on expert, so i play easy songs while freestyling a bit... and when i did a full turn...

huh!? aren't those guys from the front of the toys store!?

ohkay... they'll be seeing me playin' ddr
(it's kinda embarrassing)

and after that, another girl came (i think she's tired of only watching)

'plz wait... let's play together.'

okay a girl who played previously wanna play with me... i hope she knew my favorite songs...

which actually not. she chose afronova (oh PUHLEAZE!?) and played expert (she chose basic)

okay now MY TURN! meh-heh-heh-heh!

100-200-400 - Fascination MAXX

well i chose difficult and she went with basic again.

'don't choose a hard song, okay?'

like i care.

for her... her life bar went empty in the first 15 seconds.

and seeing my choice, she chose...

Ω - MAX 300

okay i chose expert (time for a little show off heheheh) and didn't change anything.

she died (of course not IRL!) and i went on, only to miss on one step only! (AAAARRGGHH! >X( )

but that's okay, it was enough... coz those guys who were in the front of the toy store said that without enough rigorous training no one could accomplish that...

and i'm tired and no money left... so i sat on the nearest "chair" (well it's shoe- & burger-shaped) then one of those guys commented on my performance. (he said what i wrote a few lines up there)

after a bit of conversation, we dispersed and i went to that toy shop again. and the one next to it. i kept a list of their price... for future references. heheheh. and for the ones who care, here it is... assuming 1 US$ = 9,174.31193 IDR (according to Google, 11 June 2010)

NamePrice
2 × 3 × 3 Circular CenterRp 40,000 ($4.36)
2 × 3 × 3Rp 30,000 ($3.27)
Rubik's SnakeRp 30,000 ($3.27)
Void CubeRp 30,000 ($3.27)
Fisher's Cube 1 ColorRp 40,000 ($4.36)
MegaminxRp 50,000 ($5.45)
PyraminxRp 30,000 ($3.27)
Trimmed PyraminxRp 50,000 ($5.45)
Rainbow CubeRp 40,000 ($4.36)
SkewbRp 55,000 ($5.99)
2 × 2 × 2Rp 35,000 ($3.81)
3 × 3 × 3Rp 70,000 ($7.63)
5 × 5 × 5Rp 55,000 ($5.99)
6 × 6 × 6Rp 300,000 ($32.70)
Pinwheel CubeRp 70,000 ($7.63)

i didn't know the actual name for that 2 × 3 × 3 circular center... well that describes the puzzle well anyway, basically a 2 × 3 × 3 with circle part that can move independently similar to those in super square-1. and the trimmed pyraminx is just a pyraminx with the trivial tips cut. (and just that could increase the price Rp 20,000? hmm...

and also why 5 × 5 is cheaper than 3 × 3? actually i tried the 5 × 5 and it was quite rough... it needed lubrication... if i'm not wrong most of them are Yongjun...

after that, i went home, and as usual, i use public transportation.

hmm... usually that bus shows up often...

5 minutes later,

i'm unlucky today.

another 5 minutes...

wth? that big tv screen that usually shows cigarette ads shows windows instead? and whoever is operating that is calibrating the monitor...

suddenly it went black

loading bar... okay the loading bar is full and what?

blink. back to windows. lol

5 minutes after that, THAT bus finally showed up. phew. and it was "full pressed body" (extremely full and populated)

1 hour of disdain, and about 15 minutes i'm back at home... too bad i didn't bring any camera for documentation... next time 'kay?

btw sorry... it's full of text and sooo monotonic... i hate this view.
